World Values Survey
Values Survey (WVS) may be described as a series of intercultural studies
on the basis of interviews with representative population samples from
some 60 countries conducted previous in four major waves 1981-84, 1990-1993,
1995-1997 and 1999-2000.
The interviews map the respondents views on work, health, the economy,
the family, thew environment, politics, morals, religion, etc. The survey
originates from the European Values Survey (EVS) and is globally initiated
by professor Ronald Inglehart, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Elected as executive
committee is Ronald Inglehart, Bi Puranen and Thorleif Pettersson. An
strategic group and an methodological group is likewise selected.
