Mankind has to find new energy production systems adapted to recycling. ELVIRA is an independent environmental foundation launched by the Swedish National Energy producer, Vattenfall. The Foundation promotes a long-term, sustainable energy system by accelerating the development of new energy production technologies adapted to the environment. The Foundation's capital or returns support environment friendly projects based mainly on non commercial energy production technology. The Foundation will also be entitled to realise the objective of the Foundation through other measures than the aforementioned. The foundation board will decide what projects to sponsor and the aniount of the grant made to each of those projects. The swedish Marshal of the Realm, Gunnar Brodin, is chairman of the board and associate professor is a member of the board and active in the working commttee of Elvira.
